Professional Development (Form 7D)

Description:

Review the professional development activities that your teachers and other staff are currently participating in and then complete the form below.

Goal:

Determine professional development initiatives that are not aligned with the student learning goals and thusly can be eliminated or delayed. Consider which of your professional development initiatives should be kept, which should be eliminated, and which might be eliminated after securing waivers from the district or union or some other source.

Column Description:

Current Professional Development Initiatives – This list is generated from all the Professional Development Initiatives listed in Form 4.

Keep, Eliminate, or Delay – List the decision on what to do with the professional development item.

Consequences – Document the consequences of your choice to keep, eliminate, or delay the professional development initiative.

Waiver? – Will this require any district/union waivers? If so note this.

Time Made Available – If the professional development initiative is eliminated or delayed list the time per week made available to the staff.

Cost Savings – If the professional development initiative is eliminated or delayed list the cost savings.
